TAHITI...It is the PARADISE you were looking for!

Tahiti Honeymoons, Anniversaries & Weddings
Escape to the ULTIMATE Exotic Destination

Gayle is our dedicated French Polynesia Specialist with over 21 years of experience in the travel industry. She has visited Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tahiti (4 times and still not done yet)!! Gayle definitely knows how to help you plan your trip to the South Pacific!

Ia Orana from Gayle Zielke YOUR Tahiti Tiare Specialist,

I just returned from Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora...again!!!  This time I was lucky enough to visit Taha'a.  Flew into Raitea and took the boat transfer to Le Taha'a resort.  It was amazing to visit this very exclusive island resort!!  I am still on cloud 9!!  Tahiti and her Islands are just so beautiful, amazing atmosphere with breathtaking views... that to be honest I have never seen anywhere else compare to these Polynesian Islands.  Tahiti and all her islands are the absolute ultimate Honeymoon or Anniversary destination.  Please tell me when you are ready to visit Paradise.  I want to share all my secrets of these Polynesian Islands with YOU!

Mauru'uru Roa!

"Tahiti and her islands are TOP on my list for romantic, exotic vacations," says Gayle Zielke, owner of First Choice Travel and Cruise and a Tahiti Tiare Specialist. "Imagine your own private over-water bungalow, turquoise lagoons, colorful markets, delicious French and Polynesian cuisine and all the magic of the South Pacific."  Who wouldn't want to spend their Honeymoon or Anniversary in Tahiti, Bora Bora or Moorea?

This tropical destination is blessed with a lot of sun and just enough rain to keep the waterfalls flowing and the flowers blooming. If that's not inviting enough, both the air and water temperatures average about 79 degrees F year around. "Many people are under the assumption that Tahiti is not affordable," she adds. "We have packages for any budget. Why wait?  Work with a Tahiti Specialist and indulge yourself, do something DIFFERENT this time!!"

Finally Weddings are Now Legal in French Polynesia!

French Polynesia, the most romantic jewel of the South Pacific, with its gorgeous turquoise waters, incredible seclusion, famous overwater bungalows, and award winning Polynesian Spas. Recently it was announced couples can legally ‘tie the knot’ in Tahiti! Resorts are now creating fabulous wedding packages offering flowers, photographers, cakes, group rates for guests and more…stay tuned for further updates. "I am excited to see all these great packages I can offer my wedding couples", says Gayle Zielke, Tahiti Tiare!

If you are interested in getting married in Tahiti we can help you customize an itinerary for your once in a lifetime wedding day!  Invite your family and friends or have a romantic wedding for two!  The new options are endless!

TAHITI IS NOW MAKING IT EASY FOR YOU TO GET MARRIED IN TAHITI....LEGALLY!!!
I am so excited that the Tahiti Tourisme has informed us of this important news.

Tahiti gets the green light for foreign marriages!

Long recognized as one of the most romantic honeymoon destinations in the world, overseas visitors will also now be able to get married in French Polynesia after the French government gave the green light for foreign marriages to be conducted in Tahiti and her islands.

The minimum 30-day residence criteria has been done away with under the new legislation meaning visitors will be able to get married in a romantic Tahitian ceremony as long as they also go through a civil ceremony which must be conducted at a local city hall.  Previously visitors could only undergo a symbolic French Polynesian marriage or a renewal of wedding vows legally exchanged elsewhere.

Tourism operators are now putting in place plans and packages to capitalize on the legislative change.  French Polynesia abounds with fantastic honeymoon options and the traditional wedding ceremony, with its music, singing, dancing and stunning location has always proved extremely popular.  Now couples can enjoy all these things and be married legally – a fantastic ‘one stop shop’ for a dream wedding.  We have Wedding Packages for you to choose from.

I can't wait for YOU to be one of the first LEGALLY MARRIED COUPLES IN TAHITI!!!!!!!!  Call Gayle Zielke, Tahiti Tiare Specialist today at 262-542-5955 or 1800-896-4360 and email: trvl1st@aol.com

Foreigners wishing to visit French Polynesia must have a valid passport, which, depending on the nationality of the visitor, contains a valid visa.  No immunization certificates are required.

Tahiti temperatures average about 79 degrees (F) year around, both the air temperature and the water temperature.  Tahiti is a tropical destination blessed with lots of Sun and enough rain to keep the waterfalls flowing and the flowers blooming!

Popular Activities

Some of the world's best snorkeling, scuba diving, and surfing are found in Tahiti. Also popular are outrigger canoeing, bicycle and horseback riding, four-wheel jeep safaris, spear and deep sea fishing, swimming, sailing, jet skiing, wind surfing, tennis, island tours, shark and ray feeding, helicopter rides, museums, ancient maraes (temples), and other cultural experiences. Sunset watching, beach strolling, relaxing in the sand, enjoying exquisite French Polynesia cuisine, walking through beautiful fragrant gardens, and simply getting to know the friendly and hospitable Tahitian people are memorable highlights of any visit to French Polynesia.  Ask Gayle about her HELMUT DIVE in Bora Bora!

Shopping

Duty Free shopping is mainly available on Tahiti, that is where the biggest markets and shops are.  The Le Marche (the Market) located downtown Papeete is where you want to go to purchase all your souvenirs.  You might as well find the most reasonable prices and options at the Market since it is all in one place!  There are a few shopping centers or stores around the area too. But you will also find everything you would want on Bora Bora, Moorea and the other islands too.  The Black pearls, (you have to own at least one), mother-of-pearl shell carvings, coconut and tiare soaps, monoi oil, vanilla beans, shell leis, wood carvings, colourful pareos, and woven hats and baskets are among the most popular items.  (Try the Black Pearl Market for the best prices on pearls)

Tahiti is a favorite destination for Honeymooners

Tahiti is simply the ultimate in romance and dream honeymoons! Couples can immerse themselves in the incredible beauty of the islands and the casual, relaxed pace. With its mesmerizing sunsets and sweet aroma of flowers, Tahiti radiates romance. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast brought to your overwater bungalow by canoe. Find a secluded motu (islet) for a private picnic. We can arrange a traditional Tahitian wedding ceremony or renewal of vows for you. Spend a romantic evening dinner for two at your hotel, on the beach, on a private island for lunch. Or simply take a leisurely stroll along a secluded white sand beach and enjoy the most spectacular place on earth.  Ask us about our HONEYMOON discounts!

"Choosing an island to visit in Tahiti is like going through your jewelry box to choose from a diamond, ruby, emerald or tanzanite!  As a Tahiti Tiare Specialist I can help you choose the right JEWEL for YOU!", Gayle Zielke, Tahiti Tiare agent!!

What is a Tahiti Tiare?

Ia Orana from Gayle Zielke, your Tiare Agent!

Tahiti Tiare specialist at First Choice Travel and Cruise!!! The Tahiti Tiare Specialist program is an intensive training program that Tahiti’s national tourist office offers to travel agents. It took a lot of time and effort to become a Tahiti Tiare agent and I am proud to say our office has one of the only Specialists in Wisconsin and the midwest that completed it.
You may ask why First Choice Travel and Cruise agents go through all the bother to get certified in the many destinations we specialize in. If you were planning the vacation of your lifetime, or perhaps your honeymoon, and you wanted to go to an exotic island destination, wouldn’t YOU want your travel agent to have been there first? You would feel more confident with an agency where someone has visited the hotels, knows how to get around, where to get a decent meal, and knows the best sightseeing options first-hand. We will also tell you what we didn’t like or if we think the hotel or destination might not be right for you.

Tahiti is not for everyone. If you are looking for a lot of night-life and a cooler climate, I would recommend some place else. But for travelers seeking a unique getaway to absolute paradise, Tahiti and Her islands are the place. There is no more romantic place for a honeymoon or anniversary. We have also sent quite a few families to the islands who praised the scuba diving and snorkeling. No matter what you do on your trip, you get to experience the genuine warmth of the Polynesian people and their culture and that is remarkable.

My husband Gary and I celebrated our 30th anniversary in Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora. I absolutely loved it. The Tahitian Islands were, by far, my favorite pick for a vacation so far. I have wanted to go to the South Pacific for so long. (after I saw those over water bungalows!) The destination itself, and all of the resorts that I stayed at, exceeded my expectations (and we all know that is hard to do since I travel so much!)

The people were very friendly and all of the employees were from the Polynesian Islands. I would say Tahiti is what I expected Hawaii to be like. It was very Polynesian, white powder sand beaches, clear aqua blue waters and snorkeling that is to die for. I was never that good at snorkeling but now I think I am an expert. I am truly spoiled by the clarity of the ocean in the South Pacific and I will be very picky about where I go to snorkel next.

Moorea was my favorite island. We stayed in an over water bungalow (of course). We could see the fish underneath us through a glass covered coffee table. I have snorkeled throughout the Caribbean but the waters of the South Pacific beat anything I have ever done! I have never seen so many different fish. I was very comfortable jumping right in off my own private pier and watching Gary feed the fish.

We met people from all over the world while we were on different tours and at the resorts. Bora Bora was absolutely gorgeous and looked just like the pictures in the brochures with all the different shades of blue water. Our lobby was on a huge over water bungalow. Very cool, different, upscale, top of the line. What can I say –the place was PARADISE!!! I can’t wait to go back.

I didn't wait long because the next year my husband had emergency back surgery and he  needed to get away and recover.  My first choice for his recovery was Poynesia of course.  So we  went to Tahiti on a 10 day cruise and visited Papeete, Moorea, Tuamotu Atolls, Nuku Hiva and Hiva Oa (the Marguesas Islands), Rangiroa, Tahaa, Raiatea and Bora Bora again!  We sailed on a wonderful Princess Cruise and he came back totally relaxed and recovered.  It was just as I remembered and MORE!!!

Ok.. I know how fortunate I am...and I will not apologize except to my husband who didn't go with me this time. Sorry honey.  But I was lucky enough to go to Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora again for a nine night trip to Paradise in November to revisit all the hotels and then again April of 2010.  I still am in awe whenever I get there. It is the most beautiful place on earth!!!  I saw waterfalls, turquoise lagoons, lush volcanic peaks, tropical flowers and the most exotic colorful fish on my helmut dive.  (you can also see them just looking down in the water in your overwater bungalow).  You don't have to snorkel or dive to appreciate all the stingrays, sharks and tropical fish just waiting for you underwater.  This is truly a vacation of a lifetime, why don't you make it YOURS!!!

Tahiti Travel Tips:

Phone calls from Tahiti to North America are very expensive. We recommend you call your friends/relatives and then have them call you back as calls from Canada/U.S.A. are not as costly.  There is internet but some resorts and islands are slower than others!!!

It's common to put a tiare (Tahiti's national flower, a fragrant white blossom) behind your ear - left side you're taken, right side you're looking.

Tahiti and Her Isles ~ Romantic, Lazy, Adventurous, Breathtaking......

The superlatives are endless, and are often rendered understatements by the reality. The Tahitian vacation experience is one that fulfills and tantalizes all the body's senses. In these days where the travel experience has become more and more same old, same old, these islands are refreshing unique and original in so many ways.

Before you visit Tahiti, take some time to learn a few useful words and phrases.  Even though English is spoken and understood in most hotels, restaurants, and shops, learning a few Tahitian words and phrases is encouraged and appreciated. It can also be helpful, but not mandatory, to brush up on a few basic French phrases as French and Tahitian are the official languages and both are commonly used.

The Tahitian alphabet contains only thirteen letters.Vowels: a as in car, e as in may, i as in machine, o as in cold, and u as in salute.Consonants: f,h,m,n,p,r,t,v pronounced as in English with the exceptions of the h pronounced sh when preceded by i or followed by o and the r sometimes having a trill sound.
