BETTE ZARNKE ESCORTED A GROUP TO THE GOLDEN PARNASUS IN CANCUN

The hotel is small (214 rooms) but very nice; the beach is real nice but about 40 feet out  it drops off to about 5 feet which may be difficult to get down and back up for us older folks.  To the left of the hotel about a block they have steps make out of wood with a railing that you can you up and down to the beach (I think it is the next hotels steps but everyone uses it)

The food was great; they have the steak house, seafood, gourmet international and Japanese.  The buffet is breakfast and lunch and also they have a grill that serves hamburgers, nacho’s, French fries, etc. right by the pool;

The deluxe rooms had either a lagoon view (back side which had a view of downtown Cancun) and the deluxe ocean view and club rooms were the same view except the club rooms had a Jacuzzi, coffee maker, frig stocked with juices, beer, soda and water plus a bottle of sparking wine and a fruit basket and flowers in the room; if you booked the Club room you also had a Cancun Queen lagoon lunch cruise and a in-room gourmet dinner in room; you also got a robe and slippers for use during your stay.

They have 24 room service; we had dinner one night sent to the room and it was hot and delivered within 20 minutes.  All bars had imported drinks which was Beefeaters gin, Canadian Club whiskey, Absolute Vodka, etc.

They have a mini golf right in the hotel with statues of Elvis, Blue Brothers, Etc. was fun to take pictures of them all.

They also had a bar right by the beach called the Dolphin bar, and just a few steps up was the hot tub which could hold 20 persons;

No swim up bar but they did have a bar with stools next to the pool area and close to the Pier 12 which was the seafood place open for lunch and dinner.  What the group liked was you did not have to make any reservations for these restaurants and the only one that required long pants was the International restaurant but Chuck worn jeans and I had Capri’s with a blouse, very very nice……..

They even gave you sherbet to cleanse your plait before you next course……….

The Great Parnassus was included with exchange privileges so some of the clients went over there a few nights to eat, very nice also (transportation was included the bus came every hour on the hour.   Hope this helps and if anyone needs any other information on this hotel please email me.  The whole group just loved this hotel ……………………

Your happiness is my sucess.
