I would say that Le Taha'a is like a hard to find.....Tanzanite!

My stay in Le Taha’a was truly breathtaking!  The whole trip was really exciting from the flight to the island of Raiatea (where you fly into to get to Le Taha’a) and then wisked off on an excitng boat ride with just amazing views of Polynsesia and then finally arriving at the little island of Le Taha’a….it was quite dramatic!

This wonderful resort is located on the coral reef of Motu Tautau with a spectacular view of Bora Bora, Le Taha’a Island Resort & Spa offers first-class accommodations in 60 luxurious suites and villas, (12 really nice beach bungalows and 48 comfortable overwater suites) warm Polynesian hospitality and excursions that range from romantic to adventurous.  Guests who love the water will find an endless list of activity choices, from scuba diving, jet skiing and ray feeding to island jeep tours, evening lagoon cruises and excursions to black pearl farms and vanilla plantations.  For a relaxing alternative, the full-service Manea Spa (which I  can tell you from first hand experience it was the best deep tissue massage I have ever had) offers a wide variety of face and body treatments, incorporating the island’s natural elements to soothe and moisturize.

On the island of Taha'a, Tahiti's "Vanilla Island," you can take a helicopter tour to the heart-shaped atoll of Tupai or visit Bora Bora for the day.

During the day I snorkeled in the coral garden, saw amazing colored fish and coral.  At lunch I tasted everything they offered with their famous vanilla sauce on it!  The fish was the best!  Now I know why they call Le Taha’a the vanilla island! YUMMY!!

The grapefruit juice was so different from home. I think they put it in a blender or something. I couldn’t get enough of it.  The food here was excellent!  The breakfast buffet was so enticing and the views from the upper deck were exquisite.

I was so content at this quiet but elegant resort. I really didn’t want to leave my overwater bungalow.  I was so relaxed and watching the view of Bora Bora and the catamarans in the water really kept me busy. I had to make myself go to my appointment for the deep tissue massage.  But wow was I glad I did. I think I floated all the way back to my bungalow when I was done. I was having the time of my life!! Sure, I wish my husband could have joined me but this was really work and hey I had the large comfortable king size bed all to my self!  I JUST LOVED IT!!!

I really love all the Tahitian Legends and expecially the little card they left for me when I was leaving:

Once upon a time, on the motu Taataa traverlers...Mrs Zielke had found a little paradise lost in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.  They were so eseduced by the magical colours of the lagoon, so charmed the by the Tahitian flowers, and so conquered by the softness of Taha'a vanilla that they forgot the boat was waiting for them at the hotel dock to catch their flight!

Then, the whole team of the Taha'a Island Resort and Spa, who did its best to make their stay on the island unforgettable, reminded them that they had to go back ... unfortunately!  And they left this marvellous islet with many regrets and their mind full of souvenirs...

Don't you just feel the pull of LE TAHA'A calling you????

Please let me know if you are thinking of visiting LeTaha’a, I would love to help you on your journey!
